The Story Behind My Kitchen

My journey into wellness didn’t start in a clinic; it started in professional kitchens.
For over 30 years, my life was defined by the intensity and pursuit of perfection in the culinary world. I trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse in France, worked as the head chef for Bill Granger, cooked alongside industry legends like Tetsuya Wakuda, and led the VIP kitchen for Google.
But despite reaching the peak of my career, my personal health began to fail. My body and my spirit simply forced me to stop.
When I started navigating the wellness space to heal my digestive system, lose weight, and manage my diet-caused illnesses, I was met with confusing extremes, restrictive diets, and food that stripped all the joy out of eating. The wellness world told me I had to eat bland, boring food to heal and take loads of supplements. The chef in me absolutely refused.
I knew there had to be a way to heal my gut, lose weight, and regain my energy and happiness without giving up the flavours I adored. So, I stepped out of high-end commercial kitchens and became a qualified nutritionist to understand the science of digestion, the mechanisms behind weight loss and the foundations required to heal your body through nutrition.
My goal was simple: to bridge the gap between deep, cellular healing and spectacular, restaurant-quality flavour.
What started as my own desperate need to heal became the foundation of Bridget’s Healthy Kitchen. I didn't just want to create a temporary diet; I wanted to prove that you could heal your body, regain your sense of self, and still eat incredibly delicious food for the rest of your life.
From my kitchen to yours, with love xxx
