Why it's delicious
A lovely little healthy treat that speaks volumes in terms of snack food. Though not as perfect as a fresh green apple, they are an incredible treat without the guilt.
Helpful hints + Tips
You will need an air fryer for this recipe and a mandolin (vegetable/fruit slicer)
- 2 small green apples, washed and cored
- Pinch cinnamon
- Pinch ginger
- Pinch nutmeg
- Using the mandolin with the finger guard, slice the apples wafer thin. Add the sliced apple to a bowl and add the spices. Toss the apples to to help distribute the spices.
- Preheat the air fryer for 2 minutes on 110C ( 230F) and then add the apples straight into the fryer basket and cook for 45 minutes, tossing the apples every 10 minutes as they slowly cook.
- Your apples are ready when they are crisp. Best eaten immediately.
